Montana State Fire Chiefs’ Endowment
The Montana State Fire Chiefs’ Association is made up of fire service personnel at all levels, and provides opportunities for its membership to attend training and conferences throughout Montana. The Association encourages and supports its membership through their involvement with many committees and grants. The Montana State Fire Chiefs’ Association is a member-driven association which values active and honest communication.
Our endowment fund is through the Montana Community Foundation. The Fund is intended to be used for the benefit of fire-related matters within Montana, including, but not limited to education, prevention, support of firefighting efforts, as well as relief from fire related circumstances.
The Montana Endowment Tax Credit: Formally known as the Montana Charitable Endowment Tax Credit, the credit was established in 1997 to encourage individuals, businesses and organizations to make lasting investments in their communities. This opportunity offers you a credit of 40 percent of a qualifying planned gift’s federal charitable deduction, up to a maximum of $10,000, per year, per individual. It also allows a credit of 20 percent of a gift’s federal charitable deduction for a direct gift by a qualified business up to a maximum of $10,000 per year.
